Put It All In God's Hands

One Pair of Hands by Carroll Roberson:

Indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of my hand; I work, and who will reverse it?  (Isaiah 43:13)

From out of darkness God spoke and light made an appearance.  God spoke and sparkling blue skies and great waters took their rightful places.  God spoke again and dry land took shape.  Trees and plants of every variety came into existence when God uttered His voice.  The sun, moon and stars all began to glisten in their heavenly habitation by God’s royal command.  Living creatures such as birds, sea life and animals came about by God’s majestic voice.  But when God created man, He fashioned him with His own hands and into His own image.

When I think of these wonders and marvel at the greatness of God Almighty as Creator and Lord of all, I realize how that God reigns and is Ruler over all.  There is no other god above our God for He is sovereign.  Despite man’s disapproval or resistance, God is still King over the earth, all things on it and under it and there is no other.

Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.  (Deuteronomy 4:39)

In my mind’s eye, I can envision one strong pair of hands holding the earth the Lord God created.  The wonder of it all is that even though He created the beauties of every mountain, valley, tree, and stream, He also holds me in the palms of His hands.  These unseen hands lovingly cradle me when the world around me shakes and trembles.  When my world seems to crumble my God shows me that He holds me completely secure, I am safe and I am loved.

When I have needs there’s no better place for me to go than to my Father God.  There is no better place for me to cast my burdens than into the strong hands of my Lord who promises that nothing is too difficult for Him.  I can run here and there looking for the solution but finding none.  I can ask this one and that one for their opinions with nothing making sense.  But when I give it all to the Lord, He always has the answer.  He sustains me and soothes away every doubt and fear with His loving hands.  No one else in this world can do that for me.  I know that there is no human being on the face of this planet capable of doing so much to help me.

If your world is filled with heartache, I encourage you to put your trust in the Master’s hands to see you through.

God’s hands will lead you when you feel you’ve lost your way

because the Lord will go before you.  (Isaiah 45:1)

God’s hands will comfort you when you’ve lost your dearest

friend because He is near to the brokenhearted.  (Psalm 34:18)

God’s hands will hold you when you feel you’re about to fall

because He never allows the righteous to be moved.  (Psalm 55:22)

God’s hands will fight your fiercest battles because

He promises that the battle belongs to Him.  (1 Samuel 17:47)

God’s hands will heal your deepest wounds because

He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows. (Isaiah 53:4)

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

Place your tears in His hands.

Place your pain in His hands.

Place your grief in His hands.

Place your fears in His hands.

Place your cares in His hands.

Place your sorrow in His hands.

Place your despair in His hands.

Place your troubles in His hands.

Place your burdens in His hands.

Place your dilemma in His hands.

Place your questions in His hands.

Place your broken heart in His hands.

Place your deepest needs in His hands.

Place your transgressions in His hands.

Place your discouragement in His hands.

Place your disappointments in His hands.

Place your shattered dreams in His hands.

Place EVERYTHING in the nail-scarred hands of your loving Savior.

If you’re a child of the Most High God, there is no doubt Satan is fighting against you and your family.  He will do his best to steal, kill and destroy. (Jn. 10:10)  He fights against God’s ministers and laborers in the field hoping they will fall beneath the weight of it all.  Wherever you find yourself, stay on guard and do not shrink back, back down or turn around.  How can you win this war?  By holding on to the Master’s hand.  Be encouraged servants of the Most High God – He is for you and not against you.  (Psalm 56:9; Rom. 8:31)

On this day, God wants you to know:

.

... that it's time you let go.

Yes, of course, you want to control so

everything happens in just the way you want it.

But at the end of the day, we control nothing -

it's all in God's hands –

has always been,

and will always be.

So, do what you can,

and then let go

and let God handle the rest.

How many times do you try to control situations in your life?  Ask yourself these questions:

Was there ever a time when God let me down?

Was there ever a time that God couldn’t handle my problems?

Was there ever a time when God didn’t see me through?

Was there ever a time when He left me stranded?

Was there ever a time He left me standing out in the cold?

Was there ever a time when His grace wasn’t sufficient for my needs?

I can’t think of one time that God’s hand wasn’t upon me even though I didn’t realize it.  When we keep our trust in Jesus, He becomes our closest Friend and He never lets us down.  He pulls us through with His mighty hands.

Some time ago I was having some health issues.  As I lay there in my helpless condition, I wondered how I was going to make it.  But then I felt a gentle touch on my back.  There is no doubt it had to have been the Lord’s because there was no one else with me in the room.  It’s not always that something supernatural like that occurs to me, but I know it had to be the touch of the Master bringing healing to my body.  The same hands that once held the nails on that old wooden tree can touch your body like no other because there is healing in His hands.

Do you need the Lord to touch you today? Ask Him to help you and He will hear your earnest cry.

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.  (Psalm 34:15)

The doctor’s report may be a negative one, but the Great Physician has never retired or gone out of business.  The Master’s hands are still touching lives just the same as they did over 2,000 years ago when He went from town to town healing all manner of sickness and disease.  Call out His name in prayer and He will turn His ear to you.

I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications.  Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.  (Psalm 116:1-2)

Remember the same hands that formed the mountains, oceans, and valleys, can touch your life in a special way.  Whatever your need, put it all in God’s hands.

Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.  (Isaiah 55:6)

Prayer:  Father God, I come to you with love and admiration.  I am in awe of you and for who you are.  Thank you for the compassion you show your children.  You know our needs.  You know when we’re about to fall.  You know when we’re not feeling well.  You know when the doctor gives a heartbreaking report.  You know when our spirits get low and we become depressed.  You know when we’re lonely and we have no one to talk to.  The wonderful thing about you Lord is that you are always with us and are our closest Friend.  You go with us wherever we go when you live in our hearts.  We can drive out to the farthest desert and you’ll be there with us.  We can take a boat across an ocean and it may seem we are all alone, but you’re still with us.  Thank you for all of these things.  Help us to place all of our needs in your hands, Lord.  Help us to stop holding onto things that we can’t do anything about.  We have a tendency to worry and fret so help us Father to be better about surrendering and letting go so you can take our burdens.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
